Ben's practice focuses on construction defect litigation,
insurance defense, and insurance coverage. He also has
expertise in business and commercial litigation, including
breach of fiduciary obligations, breach of contract,
premises liability, and foreclosures. Ben enjoys working
closely with businesses to meet their specific needs. In
doing so, Ben handles the various legal matters that arise
in the business context, such as drafting contracts and
apprising business owners on legal issues relevant to their
industry.
Prior to practice, Ben graduated from the University of
Denver’s Sturm College of Law. While attending Sturm, Ben
was a member of the Water Law Review, Phi Alpha Delta
International Law Fraternity, Business Law Society, and
Rhone Brackett Inn of Court. Ben’s employment during law
school included working as a law clerk for both the Colorado
Division of Administrative Hearings and a civil litigation
firm.
Before law school, Ben attended the University of New Mexico
on a Presidential Scholarship, where he graduated magna cum
laude and earned a Bachelor of Arts. Over the course of his
undergraduate studies, Ben completed the University Honors
Program and received recognition on the Dean's List. During
that time, Ben worked at Sandia National Laboratories and
U.S. Department of Energy, where he assisted in implementing
the U.S. Department of Energy directives and drafting a
computer security handbook for the entire U.S. Department of
Energy - Albuquerque complex.
Ben is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and is
admitted in the United States District Court for the
District of Colorado. He remains a member of the Rhone
Brackett Inn of Court.
