Presentations:

Christina Dixon presented a CLE Seminar on February 28, 2008 entitled “Insurance Issues in Common Law Marriage.” Christina Dixon recently presented to family law attorneys on Insurance Issues in Common Law Marriage. Complex insurance issues can be further complicated by issues involving common law marriage. It is important the proper parties be indentified as named insureds under an insurance policy. Issues of proof arise where a couple alleges common law marriage. Courts will look to the supporting facts and circumstances surrounding the couples' intention regarding the relationship.

Robert Zupkus was a presenter at a Lorman seminar “Developing Trends in First Party Claims in Colorado: Bad Faith, Disability and Other Insurance Claims” held on November 13, 2007. Bob informed attendees on trial tactics and explained issues involving bad faith claims including business interruption, property damage and uninsured motorists claims.

Rick Angell presented “Contracts, Torts and Insurance Analysis at the Edges” at the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association Seminar in August 2007.
