Presentations:
Christina Dixon presented a CLE Seminar
on February 28, 2008 entitled “Insurance
Issues in Common Law Marriage.” Christina
Dixon recently presented to family law
attorneys on Insurance Issues in Common Law
Marriage. Complex insurance issues can be
further complicated by issues involving
common law marriage. It is important the
proper parties be indentified as named
insureds under an insurance policy. Issues
of proof arise where a couple alleges common
law marriage. Courts will look to the
supporting facts and circumstances
surrounding the couples' intention regarding
the relationship.
